A friend of mine was thrilled when a successful, independently wealthy (well sort of) man dated her and then asked her to marry him. This was a princess type story for my friend. She volunteered her time at the local high school and was around the youth so much they all knew her. She worked and attended college when she could afford it, instead of going in debt. She hadn't dated much.
She deserved a happy ending. Yet - the story was not perfect. Her fiance sent a blue diamond he had purchased from an investor to a jeweler and had their Diamond Engagement Rings made in the latest style. She felt a little cheated. She didn't understand the value of a blue diamond. All she knew was that she didn't share the experience of buying her own diamond.
I can't say that I didn't think my friend's fiance was extremely romantic. I can't say that I took sides. But, it did make me think about diamonds and jewelry. For most of us, our diamond ring is the only truly valuable piece of jewelry that we can wear day-in and day-out.
I found this site. If you and your loved one are looking for a diamond engagement ring then check this site out first. There is a page of proposal mistakes and romantic tips that I just loved.
This is a big decision - and there is never a second chance to 'get it right.'
I am glad that my hubby let me pick my set. I had so much fun looking at wedding rings and learning about diamonds. It is something that I remember, 10 years later.
One thing I would do different, if I had to do it again, was shop online. Take a look at the diamond jewelry at this website. The prices and selection are among the best I've seen anywhere and they have a money-back guarantee and offer free shipping.
