I Think My Husband Is Going to Get a Hair Transplant

I guess my husband is not going to let the idea of 'a hair transplant' go. My husband wishes he wasn't bald. But, I don't want him to do something dangerous. I checked out the methods of hair restoration that promise to grow hair, but when I actually challenge their claims, the guarantees are worthless. I don't mind my husband wanting hair, I do resent the fact that these people want my money - but don't actually promise to give my husband hair.

It was easy to challenge the success of a clinic's transplant method - surf the web. The most successful method seems to be when they transplant the follicular units. The franchises don't seem to have a stellar success rate. The rarely guarantee results. The most common complaint is batches, thin spots, and a weird hair line.

I am not sure whether my husband will go for a hair transplant. They take months to complete, and can be f expensive. The only website I found that didn't have tons of negative feedback was Dr. Pistone (www.drpistone.com) New Jersey Hair Restoration One thing that surprised me was to learn that hair transplant should be done by a surgeon, not a doctor.

I want to know the complications before we get started. The more information I find on the surgical procedures such as Follicular Unit Transplantation, the more holes I see in some of the 'guarantees'. I found most of my information on Dr. Pistone’s website. My main questions are: Who will perform the procedure? Who will take implant the grafts? I don't want my husband to get his hair back, but have 'gorilla' looking hairline.
