The Successful Freelance Writer

What is a Successful Freelance Writer?

Well, I thought I was a success when I was hired on a contract basis to edit for a book publishing company. That lasted about eight months.

I thought I was successful when I started making about $400 a month for about 5 hours work. That lasted about a year, then I wasn't satisfied.

I thought I was a success the first time I made $1000 a month - that lasted until I made $2000 a month.

I thought I was a success when my first book was published - now that my four books are getting ready for re-release, I am not impressed.

I was really impressed when I released the first the first magazine. That didn't last.

I was awstruck when my computer consisted of 2 towers, 2 monitors(1 true color) and 3 printers.....

I have come to the point where I don't know what I would consider successful.

I know people who have done twice as much in 1/2 the time.

I know people who make $60 000+ a year writing.

I know authors who makes enough money to hire a secretary.

So - what is success?

If you want to be a success, here is a great blog that I found
