Five years ago I was stunned to realize that the Catholic Church had written 'hell' out of their bible. This week the news reported that they were now altering purgatory.
In the 1500s St James rewrote the bible. Not with the help of the church. There are entire books that he rewrote himself.
It made me wonder why all catholic bibles and others are being rewritten. I am sure that they are learning new information, can edit the ancient Greek more, and learn more about the cultures.
It makes you want to buy a few new bibles and compare them to the old to see how things have 'grown.'
