Remember the days when we were happy to make enough money to cover Christmas and a couple shopping trips. Now I am stressing because I want a new kitchen, and to do that I need an extra $1000 this month. The life of a freelance writer has changed.
We are renovating the garage this year, covering the old stuff with board and batten. But now, we are seeing dozens of little projects that need to be done. We want to cut down the crab apple tree and plant 2 plum tress. We want another hybiscus. Oh and we need to get an Address Plaque. This has become a major priority.
In truth, we have lived here 4 years and were quite happy with the black numbers painted on the side of the house...but it always seems like you fix one thing and you find another dozen to fix.
