I've been writing for a long time about travel writing. There is a lot of opportunity for anyone who loves to travel to write off their trips, and make enough money to continue traveling. Travel sites are now utilizing travel blogs when they promote their products. This offers a great advertising opportunity for freelance writers who love to travel.
While the idea of traveling sounds great, it can be a nightmare. I can list three vacations that were ruined because I didn't know enough to stay away from a certain section of town, to avoid the area on a specific weekend, or that the reality of the location doesn't match the hype. This is a major disappointment, because I do not take many holidays.
If you want to start a blog then there are two types to focus on, travel writing, and financial writing. Either will help launch your career - and help you enjoy life more.
