I have a few friends who take a winter break. I've taken a few, something like a trip to Niagra falls, or Branson Missouri or Maimi. Nothing big, just a chance to get away for a few days, rejuvinate, and relax.
I find that winter is the best time to take a break. With 'productivity linked to light' and the winter being the darkest time of year, it is only natural that you would take a break to 'lighten' your spirits and relieve the onslaught of winter depression.
I find that I work later in the winter - in the night hours. I did buy a special light, but that is still not as good as taking a short vacation and having a rest.
