I haven't been sure how to start the new year's blog. Everyone else is thinking of changing focus. At the moment, I've been looking into things that can help work at home writers survive. Mark told me last night that he is buying more equipment - new.
Why do most people buy new when there are so many good deals in the used market. Saving 50% on a product can make a big difference. Look at it this way. Mark said that he has the money. But, if he bought used, he could get twice the product and have twice the power. His 'Office Depote' router would never provide the same power as a used cisco router. Each costs about the same, $50, and the used products do come with a warranty.
What used products do have is power. The cisco router, new, costs about $800.00. So, the next time you are hunting for office equipment, take a look at used equipment first.
