Renovations take up all your time and finances until you are done. We started our renovations 2 years ago, and some days it seems like we will never be done. The most difficult room is the bathroom. When we started to do renovations, bathroom fixtures were budgeted at about $300.00. But, as we go on, the bathroom fictures we 'want' are more than $2500.00. It has forced us to start shopping online.
The thing is, if you don't buy something that looks good - you'll hate the results. We need a mini vanity to go in an antique looking bathroom. Wehn we went to the store it was $900, but online it is only $580. That didn't seem like much at first, but the online one was even better quality.
We are combining it with an artistic 'old looking' toilet
