In everything I do, the truth remains solid - Perfection is found in the details. Not the main details, but the smallest details. However, most people never master the art of perfecting the smallest detail, because they never research their task as far as they should.
The average person stops researching about 2/3 the way through the project. Example:

We are currently renovating our home. We are creating a stunning kitchen, but we did not go out and pay $20 000 to a cabinet maker to create the same oak cabinets that are in everyone else's home. We skipped over the granite counter-top that screams 'we spent a fortune on this kitchen.' And, we didn't select the popular flooring.

Instead, we looked to the little details. The back splash, tin ceiling, and little details such as door handles. Again, it is all in the research. Do not hit the local stores. Start online where you can see hundreds of different door handles, and door furniture.

Perfection may be adding a door knocker to a room to 'frame' the door or add an artistic flair. In our case, we are 're creating' the Victorian look of our vestibule by adding a 'mail cage' even though we no longer have door to door mail delivery.
