How to Promote Your Book/Website/Blog Free and Increase Hits

Disclaimer: Purists in the Freelance world that believe that each word should have an instant monetary value, and do not look at the long term benefits. Do not read this blog. It will ruin your day.
Do You Want to Know How The Current Industry Professionals Became What We Are?

There are bloggers here who are making money. I am. Sharon Hurley Hall is. Brenna Fender is. So, do you want to know what we do different than you do?
Do You Want to Know How to Increase Your Web Site's Rank, and Appear Like An Industry Professional

Do you want to know why people like me, or Sharon, have companies contact us to write for them? Do you want to know why our web sites rank high on the search engines?
Then Read On

If someone is looking for a freelance writer, and I am posting my profile at www.guru.com or another site, like everyone else. Instead of posting a short bio, I will include a link to a Google Search Page that lists my other articles online. If you would like to see my work, please click this link. You will find more than 40 pages of search links to my articles

Now, to start this, you need a quirky little name. I use inspiredauthor and gracepub. Now, to give you a little hint. I never saved the domain name for gracepub - why should I. I'll tell you. Once I made the pseudonym famous, a domain company bought the domain and now they have offered it to me for a nice $800.00 USD. So, before you start - register your little name. My other name, www.inspiredauthor.com has gone on to be a major free learning portal for writers - owned by me :)

Now, what does a quirky little name have to do with helping you become famous? Easy, it is something the search engines will recognize, with your name, as you only, so you can measure your success by using the yahoo and Google search engines.
What Next

Next, you have to submit to search engines. Not hard, but what if other people are submitting for you? Not only that, Google sits up and takes notice when there are 500 or more links to a web site, especially if they are from similar content web sites.

Now, if you are an absolute noob/newbie you are going to send polite emails to all those web sites, hoping they will link to you in an exchange for a link to their web site. But, wait a minute - that is a link back. Google is not as impressed as that as they are if the link is only one way - coming in.

So, how do you accomplish that?

Free Content

What you do is write article and put them on the net for free content to be posted (with a link to your website, your name, and your little pseudonym) on other web sites. I have one article that is on more than 50 web sites.

Now, for those of you who abhor writing for free. Let me put this in another light. First - to get 500 links in from a site like www.ifreelance.com then you would need to pay about $500 - $1500.00. But, you can get those links to your site within a year with about 50 articles. That means you are making $10 - $30 an article.

Not only that, a PR company will charge you $2000 - $infinity, to build you a solid persona on the web.

So, in fact, the articles that you put on the web for content represent the most profitable writing hours you will ever experience.
Where to Submit Articles for Free

Forgive me, and post back if you have any of these sites that have started charging.
