How Do You De-Stress

One of the hardest things about work at home freelance writing is relaxing. There is the underlying push to continually work, 24/7. No one is there to take a project and help you meet your deadline - success and failure are squarely on your shoulders.

I was once on this treadmill. Then I started to let myself relax. One of the best things I have ever done was let myself 'play' for a half hour before working. I may play an online game, or read blogs. I may surf the web for information - or just for fun.

We are renovating our home. I often visit the discount furniture stores online and compare prices. While some of them are definitely not discounted, after all, I don't have $1000 for an end table, it is fun to see what is out there.

I also like to go looking for flowers and things for my garden. That is also fun. Sometimes I look for iron patio furniture and fountains, but most of the time I just look for bulbs and flowers.

I've always wanted to renovate an old house. In theory it looks fascinating. But when it comes down to the real work....lol

To de-stress I like to "Walk Away the Pounds" with Leslie Sansone. Sometimes I even get some great writing ideas while I'm walking.
