I love travel writing. There are many places I want to go one day. One of the places on my list is Australia. One of the first things I've learned about travel is that the tourist trap hotels are not the place to stay. There is more color and flare if you stay in some of the non franchise hotels. This can be a risk, but offer a much cheaper price than the 'strip'.
I have a lot of writing friends in Australia, it would be so much fun to meet them, have lunch beside the ocean, visit the opera house, take a trip into the desert, and find something new to write about, and stay in a few cheaper hotels.
