At first I was impressed with this site. I was looking for a way to make some money working at home. FreelanceWorkExchange.com appeared like a freelance project agency offering a chance to work at home, part time or full time.
They have a great web site, and there is a lot of information about them. They even have what appears to be real job listings in their web site. So, I tried their preview. It only costs $2.50.
I did receive job listings in the mail, and I sent my information out, but I never heard back from a single one. And, the quality of the jobs they promised was not there. They promise thousands of jobs for writers and there were less than fifty.
Still, I did bid on about twenty. My trial period expired and I left it so they could take out their regular fee. It took me less than a month to realize that they did not have the jobs they promise. In fact, the longer I stayed in their program, I started to realize that the only people who made money was the FreelanceWorkExchange.com owners. I never saw one job for an editor or a book writer, unlike the advertisement claimed. There was one job in the preview for a ghostwriter, but I never heard back from them, and there was never another one posted.
I cannot say that the jobs were not legit, but I did search two on the web and could not find any reference to the companies.
I have blogged, asking people if I did something wrong, or didn't give the program enough time, but I have not heard one response that didn't mirror my own experience.
If you are looking for a work at home job, a way to get published, or a way to get paid for writing, then FreelanceWorkExchange.com is not the business opportunity it appears to be.
