Online Profile Can Help You Make Money Pt2

Purpose of a Freelance Profile

The purpose is to prove that you have something to say, and that you can write an article without rehashing overused 'evergreen' content.

The profile should include the following:

CV (More Information on Freelance Writer's CV)
indication of how long it takes to finish articles.
(I can write 1000 - 1500 words an hour)
niche

The last thing is the most important. The client wants to know what your niche is, whether you bothered to build one, or whether you are playing 'bidding roulette', hoping to catch some unsuspecting clinet.

Freelance Magazine Writing

I need to qualify that this does not apply to magazine writers. They are expected to be the editor's eyes and legs, doing the research the editor wants done and writing the article the way the editor wants.

Most magazine writers will be as offended by calling them freelance writers as freelance writers are when you call them virtual secretaries. They are journalists.

I write this blog for people who freelance for publications, print and web, excluding writers who fit into the category of journalist.
